Quincy Adkins - East Coast Region

Career Achievements:  While I have only been back into the world of RC for a short time I keep pushing to learn and race in all disciplines. I finished in the B-main for the Palmetto Classic at Beach RC, Followed up by attending the ROAR carpet championship at Beachline RC. With little experience (AKA never been to a carpet track) I left with a lot of knowledge and even an A-Main finish of 7th in mod truck. More to come…

Personal Mission/Bio:  

I am originally from VA and grew up 1/10 scale offroad racing in southern VA. When the track changed to dirt oval I made the change as well which I loved but drifted away as other sports took my time. After almost 20 years, 6 years in the army, 5 years racing Asphalt Late Models and a 4 year old son I have made my return to the RC world. I am getting into disciplines I have never tried such as 1/8 scale and carpet but am absolutely loving the challenge. We always stay busy and there is no telling what you may find me doing, from golfing to fishing, racing, spending time as a family and camping.

My RC goals this year: 

This year I'd love to of course grow my knowledge in the RC world but from a setup side. I want to use that knowledge to continue to help the newer races at the track to understand and make their time more enjoyable. I've started to dabble in airbrushing, and yes I say dabble as there is a long way to go but I would love to learn the techniques. I am also diving into 1/8 scale for the first time so I plan to really push those events through the season. This year in addition to my local tracks and club racing, I plan to attend some big races as well such as Wicked Weekend, Masters of Dirt, ROAR Offroad Nationals, RC Pro-Am, and more.
